Signing Key Update for Linux APT Repository
The signing key used to verify Enpass Linux packages has been upgraded to a stronger security standard. This ensures Enpass installs and updates smoothly on newer Linux distributions such as Debian 13. Users may need to import the updated signing key as described in the installation guide. See the Linux installation guide for details.

We’re back with a fresh update! This release brings new enhancements to improve troubleshooting, expanded autofill capabilities, and important fixes to boost your overall Enpass experience.


What’s new:  

  • Family account admins can initiate managing family members access from the accounts page.  
  • Added option to delete imported files automatically after successful import.  
  • Enhanced passkey creation with a more intuitive interface. Cloud storage username changes (Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, Google Drive) now sync automatically to vault details.  

Improvements:  

  • The Enpass extension can now autofill standalone TOTP (one-time code) fields on supported websites. 

Fixes:  

  • Resolved extension visibility issue during app connection and passcode entry.  
  • Fixed an issue where connecting multiple vaults to different Nextcloud accounts with the same username resulted in an ‘Authentication error’.  
  • Fixed an issue where syncing or restoring a vault from iCloud did not redirect back to the app when Chrome was set as the default browser.  
  • Various minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

 For Enpass Business Users:  

  • Fixed an issue where vaults created within a Team displayed Error Code 0 when clicking the Manage Access button for few users.  
  • Fixed an issue where vault sharing was not working for some users.
  • New Enpass Business users now get an Identity Item in their primary vault right from the start.  
  • Seamless Email Changes: Email changes for Business users via SCIM will be handled seamlessly without requiring the user to reset the Enpass app.   
  • Event Logs (Enterprise Plan only): You can now view detailed logs of key events and changes made in the Enpass app and the Admin Console. These logs help track what’s happening across your organization and are available under the “Event Logs” section in the Admin Console.  
  • SIEM Integration (Enterprise Plan only): Now, you can also connect Enpass with your SIEM tools such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, Azure Sentinel, and QRadar, for visibility, monitoring, and analysis of security events across your organization.   
  • Vault restoration without password prompt:  If your organization uses Enpass Hub, you can now restore or add an existing owned or shared vault without being asked for the vault password again.  
  • You can now create a secondary vault directly at the root of a SharePoint or shared drive without needing to create a folder beforehand.  
  • If your organization has restricted secondary vault creation for certain locations, a user from a group with permissions to create and share vaults can still create the vault, allowing the restricted user to add and access it.

This update brings numerous fixes and improvements based on your feedback, ensuring a smoother, more reliable app experience.

Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue where some users were encountering error code 315993 during iCloud syncing.
  • Fixed an issue with folder sync and Wi-Fi sync that caused high CPU usage.
  • Fixed interruptions during item editing, ensuring seamless syncing without view switching.
  • WebDAV sync now works seamlessly with Mailbox.org.
  • ‘Erase Everything’ no longer resets the data location path.
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to access data on network folders after changing permissions (on the network drive) to read-only.
  • Resolved “Destination folder on sync is unreachable” error when syncing with a network drive or removable drive.
  • Default templates are now visible again for Dutch-language users who have done a fresh install of Enpass.
  • You can now import to Enpass from… Brave, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera, NordPass,Norton Password Manager,Password Safe,Password Boss, RememBear, Zoho Vault, and RoboForm’s new CSV format
  • Resolved an issue with folder structure not properly translating into tags during import from Keepass
  • Fixed an issue sometimes causing an error code 1508403 when syncing vaults on OneDrive
  • Other minor bug fixes and crash fixes.

Fixes:

  • Fixed shared vault write permissions mistakenly acting as read-only because of multiple permissions on the same vault.
  • Fixed an issue where vault sharing was not working for vaults in Private team channels.
  • Fixed false key conflict alerts after admin key resets.
  • Resolved duplicate registration errors during Hub authentication.
  • Resolved a bug that prevented changing access permissions for a vault’s creator.
  • For users who have read-only access to a shared vault, with sensitive fields restricted, clicking a website’s reveal-password button (usually an eyeball icon) is now disabled.
  • Fixed shared vault write permissions mistakenly acting as read-only because of multiple permissions on the same vault.

To help your transition to a passwordless future, Enpass now makes it easy to find accounts in your vaults that offer passkey security!

What’s New:

  • A new ‘Passkeys’ section has been added in the ‘Others’ section of the sidebar, showing all your Items with passkeys.
  • A new ‘Passkey Supported’ section has been added in the ‘Audit’ section of the sidebar, showing all your accounts where you could add passkey security.
  • For accounts that offer passkey security, the Item Details screen will now display a ‘Passkey Available’ banner if no passkey is found for the account.
  • Former Dashlane users can now import data via CSV (as well as JSON).

Fixes:

  • Fixed a security issue where sensitive data could briefly remain in memory after clicking on an item in Enpass.
  • Resolved “SSL certification failed” error when trying to complete registration from the Enpass Welcome screen.
  • Resolved a problem with Enpass not remembering the keyfile location when the the app has been forced to quit..
  • When adding an email address to an Item, suggestions list will no longer include addresses from Items in your trash.
  • Passkey login is now working at vercel.com.
  • When moving an Item between vaults, if that Item belongs to a custom category, that category will now migrate with the Item.
  • No more problems displaying the “&” character in tags.
  • Resolved bug related to using Print dialog to save an Item as a PDF.

Passkeys are a faster, super-secure way sign in to websites using face or fingerprint recognition instead of passwords. (Learn more about passkeys.)

HOW PASSKEYS WORK

  • When you create an account using a passkey for authentication, Enpass creates a pair of “keys” that only work when used together.
  • One key lives on the account, and the other lives encrypted in Enpass.
  • When logging in, use your face or fingerprint authentication to allow the two keys to match together, confirming you’re really you.

WHY PASSKEYS OVER PASSWORDS?

  • Because passkeys have two parts, kept in different places, they can’t be guessed, stolen, hacked, or captured by scammers — which makes passkeys exponentially more secure than passwords.

WHY USE ENPASS TO MANAGE YOUR PASSKEYS?

  • Passkeys were originally device-specific, but with Enpass, you can sync your passkeys across your devices, making your accounts more secure no matter which device you’re using to login.

ENPASS 6.9.2 ALSO FIXED A FEW BUGS

  • Fixed an connection issue with Nextcloud when the server URL contained a port number.
  • Fixed a problem with the browser extension’s inline menu misbehaving for Items with a custom icon in Enpass.
  • Fixed autofill suggestion bug specific to dashboard.uberspace.de
