Registering an email with Enpass

Enpass doesn’t require users to create an account, and we don’t keep your data on our servers like other password managers. The only information we needs is an email address, which is used only to authenticate your subscription on each new device and unlock the features.

When you purchase an Enpass subscription, a confirmation email is sent to your registered email address. Once you receive the email, use that address to activate (or restore) your subscription on each of your devices.

Is registration mandatory?

Nope. But if the app can’t authenticate your Enpass subscription the premium features won’t work, and the mobile versions of Enpass will sync only 10 Items. If you purchased Enpass from the Mac or iOS App Stores, you can use Sign in with Apple instead of registering. If you purchased Enpass through Google Play, you can use Sign in with Google instead of registering.

To register with Enpass

  1. Go to Settings > General.
  2. Click Activate Enpass.
  3. Enter your email address, and click Send Code.
  4. Enter the six-digit code from the confirmation email, and click Confirm.
  5. Click Done to complete the process.

Can a registered email address be changed?

Yes. To make sure your Premium features continue to work after changing your registered email, we recommend starting in the same Enpass app where you originally registered. For example, if you first registered in the Enpass app on your computer, make the change there first. This way, when you make the same change in Enpass on your phone, the new address will already be associated with your paid subscription.

To change your registered email address:

  1. Go to Settings > General.
  2. To the right of your email address, click the View Details button, then click Change.
  3. Enter your new email address, and click Send Code.
  4. Enter the six-digit code from the confirmation email, and click Confirm.
  5. Click Done to complete the update.
