Troubleshooting: “Enpass Connection Error” in your browser
This error appears when the Enpass extension for your browser cannot connect to your Enpass app, usually because...
- Enpass is not running in the background on your computer
- Browser extensions have not been enabled in your Enpass settings
- The Enpass extension for your browser is outdated
- Enpass is not installed on your computer
To resolve this issue, try these troubleshooting steps:
- Launch the Enpass app, and go to Settings > General.
- Make sure Open Automatically at System Startup checkbox is selected.
- Close the main Enpass window without quitting the app.
- Try again to use Enpass in your browser.
- In the Enpass app, go to Settings > Browser.
- Make sure the Enable Browser Extensions checkbox is selected.
- Try again to use Enpass in your browser.
- In the affected browser, go to enpass.io/downloads.
- Download the Enpass extension for your browser and follow the setup instructions.
