Using Enpass in Apple Watch

Using Enpass in your Apple Watch, you can access frequently required Enpass Items directly from your wrist.

Enabling Enpass for Apple Watch

For setting Enpass for Apple Watch all you need is Enpass App installed on your device (with iOS 8 or above) and an Apple Watch. Also ensure that your device is protected by pass-code as you cannot use Enpass for Apple Watch without having that enabled.

 

  1. Pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone.
  2. In Enpass on your iPhone, go to Settings > Apple Watch, and turn on the Enable Apple Watch option.
  3. While on this screen, for your security we strongly recommend creating PIN to unlock the Enpass App on your watch.

For Enpass Items that generate one-time codes, on this screen Enpass for Apple Watch can also be set to show only that code, and no other information.

Installing Enpass on an Apple Watch

To install Enpass on an Apple Watch:

  1. In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch.
  2. Scroll down to find the Enpass app.
  3. Tap Install
  4. Turn on the Show App on Apple Watch option.

Adding items

To add an item to Apple Watch:

  1. In Enpass on your iPhone, select an Item you want to appear on your watch.
  2. At the bottom of the Item Details view, tap Add to Watch.

To see a list of Items added to your watch, open Enpass on your iPhone and go to Settings > Apple Watch.

Security

Enpass for the Apple Watch works through the iPhone to which it is paired. It communicates securely only with that device over Bluetooth using Apple Watchkit.

 

Only Items added to your Apple Watch from the Enpass app on your iPhone will be accessible on your watch. On your watch, these Items are not locked by your master password, so they are not as secure as Items in the Enpass app on your phone or computer. However, they are protected by your watch's operating system, watchOS, and cannot be digitally copied from your phone.

 

For extra security, it is recommended that you enable the PIN code for your watch, so that no one with access to your watch will be able access your data.

 

For better security of your data while using Apple Watch:

  • Use an excellent Device Passcode.
  • Use a good Enpass Watch PIN Code.
  • Use Enpass on your watch mostly for 2FA codes or frequently used short-code Items like locker combinations.
