Enpass 5.0.3 for MAC & Windows welcomes Opera extension to the club and more.

Hello Enpassians! After the release of Enpass 5 for desktops, there were lot of things stacked up here. On one side, we were constantly pitched on our social channels to add new features like Opera extensions and on the other hand we were fidgeting to support Browser extensions on MAC App store version. Now with the release of Enpass 5.0.3 for desktops, we have offloaded some of the piled work and have moved on. Here is whats new for you.

Support for Opera Extension

Extension support for Opera browser was one of the long awaited feature and now have been added to both Windows and MAC versions and soon will be rolled out for Linux. The process of getting and setting Opera extension is same and as simple as explained here in user manual.

MAC App Store version now supports Browser Extension. Yosemite and El Capitan only!

Due to some problem in getting the extensions working with MAC App Store version, we have to get it downloaded from our website and some of you don't really liked it. Luckily, Apple updated their API in Yosemite last year, using which we are able to support Browser Extensions in Enpass downloaded from MAC App store. But that is only for Yosemite (10.10) and El Capitan users (10.11), and users of Mavericks(10.9) , Mountain Lion (10.8) & Lion (10.7.5) have to download it from our Website only.

Other goodies

Along with some known issue fixing in sync through WebDAV and OneDrive, we have added import from some other known password managers, supporting total these 23 password managers.

Look here for complete changelog for MAC and Windows

Enjoy this new update and share your experience with us in comments below. Don't forget to rate Enpass on MAC App store.  Stay connected with us at Facebook and Twitter. We   you.

Keep using Enpass and stay secure !!

Currently it appears like Wordpress is the top blogging platform available right now.
(from what I've read) Is that what you are using on your blog?

ein 1000seitiges eingescanntes Buch in der Vorschau-App öffnen… meine CPU-Auslastung ist wie verrückt gestiegen!
Ich habe stattdessen PDF Expert getestet und bin ohne Probleme fertig
geworden. https://pdfexpert.com Die Testversion kostet nichts

I came across Enpass after PasswordBox got purchased by Intel. Intel gave me a 3 year free license to their TrueKey security, but it was lacking. I'm so glad I found you guys. Love the interface and that I can sync on my own cloud, which feels more secure. I already purchased it for iOS and Android, and I'm letting my friends know about Enpass. My only request is to have the ability to store photos or PDF documents. For example: Driver's License Image, or possibly an important email that could be printed to PDF and then securely stored in Enpass. Otherwise, great job!

Dear David welcome to Enpass family and many thanks for loving Enpass. The feature of attachment support is already in our road-map and will definitely be available in future versions.

Hey, that's great! Does the Windows Store version support browser extensions? If not, is the upcoming UWP version going to?

Enpass Team 1 year, 11 months ago

Hi Brian,

We can't provide Extension support on Windows Store as there are many missing UWP API, which are necessary for secure communication with browser extensions due to sandbox restrictions.

Why don't you try the Traditionally Windows App. It's totally free and supports Browser Extensions.

Webdav Sync with Synology NAS does not work with the new update! Please fix it!

Dear Simon,
Please contact us at support@enpass.io with the Synology version you are using. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Simon is correct. Webdav is broken, I don't think it has anything to do with Synology though. I am running OwnCloud on Linux and it worked perfectly in a previous release but is broken now.

Dear Simon and Steve, recently we have released an Enpass update for Windows PC and Mac OS X(Website version), in which many WebDAV sync issues has been fixed. So please update your app and revert at support@enapss.io whether your problem has been resolved or not.

love the new opera browser extension and really appreciate that enpass already encrypts on the device rather than on a cloud platform like others.
one thing that I would really like to see on windows mobile version would be authentication via the iris scanner

I get:
"Error 403 Access Denied/Forbidden

Browser's code signature could not be verfied.Filling and other features are disabled until this configuration issue is resolved."
Chrome 64 bit, Windows 7 and Enpass 5.0.4.

It's working fine disabling "Verify" option.

Pascal

Is there a way to clear 'Recent Items' or an option to permanently disable the displaying of Recent Items in the browser extension pop-up?

Displaying recent items can certainly be convenient, but there are times when accessing, say certain 'educational' sites, one would like the comfort of knowing those sites won't show up instantaneously when clicking on the extension icon.

Hi Henry, we have noted your request and would add an option to clear the list.

Actually this is not a Recent list but you can say Frequently-used-items-list in which items are arranged in an order of no of times they were used to fill in.

Hi. So now that you got browser extensions working with Mac App Store version of Enpass -- are there any other advantages of using Enpass downloaded from your website ?

Reply

Enpass Team 1 year, 10 months ago

Yes. there are some other advantages of using Enpass website version. We have more control over Enpass website version so it will receive more frequent updates that App Store version. Further the minimum OS X support for extension support for Website version is 10.7.5 and for Mac App Store version its OS X 10.10.

So if you are not using iCloud sync, then we recommend to use Enpass Website version.
